Best Gym in Pittsburgh

Thanks for stopping by our blog. If you’re looking for more information about Panthro Fitness, you’ve come to the right place.

About Panthro Fitness

We are a leading wellness studio in Pittsburgh with over a decade of experience in our field. We originally started as a one coach operation in Plum, PA, inside of a small neighborhood gym. Our founder used to work as a full-time engineer and train people before and after work. The success of his efforts as a trainer enabled Panthro to grow to the point where he could hire more coaches and branch out to our current location on 3117 Penn Ave., right next to the 31st Street bridge between the Strip District and Lawrenceville in Pittsburgh, PA.

Today, the Panthro team comprises of six dedicated coaches that lead one on one, semi-private, and larger group class. Together we focus on strength, nutrition, overall wellness, and keeping each client injury-free. Panthro also has a physical therapy partner (Physical Therapy Now) within the facility to assist our clients during our work week from Monday to Saturday.

The Panthro Fitness Difference

Our professional strengths lie in the expertise of our coaches. The Panthro coaches have a wide variety of professional designations from Masters degrees in Kinesiology to Personal Training Certifications. They understand that exercising isn’t all about high-intensity intervals.

Well-rounded programs need to be tailored to meet the needs of individuals. That’s why we offer nutrition and physical therapy in addition to our fitness programs. As the fitness industry is ever-changing, and we do an excellent job of updating training programs to enhance client experiences as the industry progresses.

We understand that everyone’s fitness needs are unique, which is why we focus on tailoring our programs accordingly. We aren’t a jack of all trades, but we do our best to identify each client’s specific needs and address them with proven programming.

We are proud of the physical and emotional transformations that we help people make while they train with us. And, the fact that our clients look at Panthro Fitness as not just a gym but family is even more exciting.

Over the years, we’ve helped clients going through tragedy and triumph, and we have been there in both instances, either celebrating or helping them through. People trust us with their most intimate situations, and we are honored to be such a critical component of their lives.

We want each client to feel valued and look forward to coming to a place where they are comfortable with getting uncomfortable. As a result, our fitness programs offer flexibility, even in group settings.

We also make it is easy to try different types of classes as we get a lot of people who have never trained before and need guidance on different kinds of exercises. Other clients we cater to include those who have been injured in the past and want to get back into some type of training. We even welcome those who miss the atmosphere of team sports and can’t capture that while working out alone.

On average, customers that walk into Panthro are looking for a place to hold them accountable. As the best boot camp providers according to The Burgh by Pittsburgh Magazine, we ensure they get what they’re looking for. Simultaneously, we encourage them by rewarding one unique client, the title of “client of the month.” This title goes to a client who has shown consistency, progression and has been an asset to the Panthro Community.

Every year we host a customer appreciation event called “why I train day.” During this event, we say “thank you” to our customers and provide them with a day of fun, food, games, and music. We also have a “client of the year” award and hold our annual scavenger hunt through the city. We then fight for the coveted “Panthro Sword” which is given to the corn hole tournament champion!

Besides encouraging physical fitness, we promote charity within our community. Through the years, we have donated to various charities. We’ve hosted food drives, coats for kids, charitable contributions to the Jewish Synagogue and veterans. In total, we’ve probably contributed close to $100,000 in cash and goods based on these events.
